Partnerships in Sustainability: Rail Tunnel Adaptation for Transit, Pedestrians, and Bicyclists

This document discusses the Cal Park Hill Tunnel Rehabilitation and Pathway project in Marin County, CA.  By connecting San Rafael's Bettini Transit Center and the Lakespur Ferry Terminal, this project serves as a link between two public transportation centers. This report advocates for the project through the lens of sustainability, which is an important benefit of trail development. It also provides a comprehensive description of the corridor and its history, potential technical challenges to the project, and design and construction studies.
